Breed Bootcamps are designed for the person that is intent on changing careers, improving their skill sets for a new position within their current employer, shifting to adapt to market changes or is between positions and is looking to expand their world view prior to selecting the next step in their employment pathway.


Everything is real world in the Breed Bootcamp.

You will be learning in real time, on real briefs for real clients.


Breed believes that the current educational model is broken. Students graduating into a lifetime of debt with little or no real world experience to positions that do not ignite their passion.  Breed Bootcamps are the first step in a larger eco-system that solves this ongoing challenge. Students selected to participate in the Breed Bootcamps attend for free. The brands that provide the briefs for you to work and learn on during the bootcamp pay your tuition. Breed is a simple solution to the broken educational system.



The Breed Creative Bootcamp is a unique opportunity to spend 2 weeks under the personal guidance and tutelage of Bob Isherwood, a Global creative legend.

Bob Isherwood

Bob Isherwood, Dean of our Breed Creative Bootcamps, is a passionate mentor, coach, and teacher, so add the amazing guest speakers and creativity motivators he’ll bring to the camp and be prepared for an inspirational, and possible life changing, experience.


Bob is amongst the top 10 most awarded creatives in the 50 year history of D&AD, and one of the few to have won their coveted gold award for advertising. He is in the Clio Hall of Fame and the Australian Writers and Art Directors Hall of Fame.


As the former Worldwide Creative Director of Saatchi & Saatchi he guided their network to win almost 8000 creative awards over his 11 year period in the role.


Bob has taught ‘Creative Advertising” as an adjunct professor at Vanderbilt University and is currently Dean of the Young Creative Academy at the Cannes Lions Festival.


He holds an Honorary Doctorate in Communications from RMIT University in Melbourne and is the co-author of “World Changing Ideas”.

Gavin is the ECD of AQKA San Francisco. Prior to joining AKQA Gavin was ECD at R/GA Sydney Australia. Gavin is keen to identify talent in the Bootcamp portfolio’s.

Lindsay Lamb

Lindsay spent most of her career in digital advertising at AKQA and Razorfish and recently made the leap to working with startups in both Silicon Valley at Draper University, as well as in NYC with clients such as Google, YouTube, Livestream, etc.


Mark T Smith

Smith was the former Director of Brand Synergy at Miami Ad School.

Prior to that he has worked as an Illustrator, an Animator, a Fine Artist, a Designer, Art Director, and Creative Director. He has also founded several companies from start-up level to multi-million dollar enterprises and overseen the strategic growth of established firms.

Throughout his entire career he has taught or mentored at institutions such as Parsons School of Design, the Pratt Institute and of course Miami Ad School.

Karen Tilstra

Karen Tilstra, PhD, is an inventor, a creativity researcher, coach, consultant, and trainer to large companies and their employees. She was the co-founder of the award winning Florida Hospital Innovation Lab, (FHIL).  


One year after launching FHIL Karen became the consulting founder of the Orlando Magic’s Innovation Lab; and co-designer of the nation’s first undergraduate degree in Innovation and Social Entrepreneurship offered at Rollins College located in Winter Park Florida.  Her most recent project is founding the San Diego State University’s Design Thinking Innovation Lab. 


Karen holds a PhD degree in Innovation and leadership.

Group Creative Director FCB West. Mike joined FCB West in January this year coming from Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Prior to that he was Group Creative Director and a Content Creative Director at Droga 5 New York.

Portfolio Coach /Jens Wærnes

Creative Director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Together with his partner, Jon Wolanske, he leads Comcast/Xfinity. Before joining GS&P, he spent six years at BBDO New York as Group Creative Director. His work has been celebrated with multiple awards at all major award shows around the world.

Creative Director at Goodby Silverstein & Partners. Along with Jens Wernes he leads the Comcast/Xfinity creative teams. Jon is a one-time anchor of an agency TV show and has helped create campaigns for brands including Cheetos, Doritos, SONIC Drive-In, Netflix, Grandma’s Cookies, and Got Milk. His work has been celebrated by his mother.

Portfolio Coach / Paulo Melchiori

As SVP Executive Creative Director, R/GA San Francisco, Paulo leads the Creative team through the development of client projects ranging from product design to integrated campaigns. Prior to San Francisco, Paulo helped found and run R/GA São Paulo, a fast-growing shop that garnered every major creative award in Latin America.


With more than 18 years of experience working with brands such as Google, Nike, Samsung, MasterCard, Peugeot, PepsiCo, and Unilever, Paulo is a pioneer in digital marketing.

Students will be accepted based on the quality of their portfolio.

Students will be accepted on a first come/first served basis and the total number of the attendees will be limited to 25 people for this bootcamp. Breed will be launching additional bootcamps in 2017 and 2018 – any candidates not accepted for the Fall 2017 bootcamp in San Francisco can request consideration for the bootcamps that will follow later in the year.

Applicants will be notified within 7 working days of the acceptance to the bootcamp.

Students that are not selected for inclusion in the bootcamp will be contacted about upcoming bootcamps and the one year immersion program that will launch in early 2018.
